                                       God Backfills~~~~~

I will repay you for the years the locust has eaten-- the great locust and the young locust, the other locust and the locust swarm, my great army that I sent among you.  Joel 2:25

God can make up for wasted time. In redeeming rough seasons in our lives. You may have been embarrassed or even humiliated,  your family teetered on division, your joy gone, your energy sapped, reputation damaged, but nothing is beyond the long arm of God's restoration. Injustice may have caught you off guard, unaware and unexpecting, you seem to have lost everything you spent a lifetime building. Your faith shot full of holes. A desire to move forward seems to be at a standstill. Worst of all, you wonder wheres God in all of this? Thank God, when there is no where to go and you feel like you are at rock bottom, it's time to look up. Trust God during this time of turmoil and transition for you are in place to for God to backfill in your loss. Move forward in the power of the Holy Spirit. He is our stability in the time of insanity.  You are a living and breathing testimony of the grace and love of God. Let God backfill the hole in your heart and life with His love and faithfulness. What God fills proves faithful, what God fills He controls and comforts.

Have you ever been in this situation and only by His grace has he backfilled the empty holes in your life?  He will restore what the locust has eaten...  Take a deep breath and breathe, allow the Spirit to breathe fresh wind into you...

Have been thinking of the newspaper article my Mother sent me of my Pop ( Charles Morgette ) concerning his tour of duty as a medic in WW11,  and the heartache in it all. Seeing my Dad ( now in heaven) serving in the Navy, also my son  Eddie Jr serving in the Coast Guard.  How they all have their own scars and stories . "Scars and Stripes"  Theses thoughts being on my mind caused me to realize we all have scars of some kind. Scars are an inevitable part of life. Scars are the way  life writes stories into our flesh. See some scars are physical and some are emotional and some are spiritual. can I tell you we have a high priest who can be touched by the feelings of our infirmities. You may have scars from physical abuse, or mental abuse.. You may be wounded spiritually.. You may have been hurt in the past.. But I tell you,   "JESUS HAS SCARS TOO"   We all have scars.!! I realize we have a choice in using them as a tool for Christ Glory or not. Some of the scars can be very deep and personal, but I have come to know when he uses me to witness of those scars it not only brings healing but glory to Him.

facebook           What would happen if there were no consequences ? ~

There will always be consequences to our sin. Sometimes we do not connect a problem going on in our lives to the cause of that sin we committed. I have told my children many times when small " you can never throw a stone in a pond with out there being a ripple effect in that pond." When we sin, Yes it does affect others.

I cut some fresh flowers recently from my  flowerbed, and thought about the dying process. It dies right away because it's separated from it's source of life, but it doesn't appear dead immediately. So the longer it is unattached, the more evident death becomes.

One thing I have come to realize about sin and consequences is, I can choose the sin but I can not choose the consequences. Will my sins and consequences effect my children, family,  church, work place, etc.......

Where would we be if there were no consequences?, lawless, hard of heart, allowing ourselves more fleshly pleasure, and most importantly breaking covenant with our Father.

Something to ponder..

Sitting here remembering when Sherry and I set up this blog.( lol ) She asked me, what do you want to name it? Well, Power Point, no already in use, so out of my mouth Refiners Fire....  This is my heart...
I thought of the Apostle Paul and when he was on the road to Damascus, he had a refiner's encounter.
Paul had a troubled soul, ( anger, murderous spirit, revenge,etc..)  His soul in turmoil as he needed ( from like minded spirits)  consent to destroy the Christian followers of Christ. Wanted to see them bound and destroyed  as this would give his driven soul some small sense of satisfaction.
Little did he know in his journey would he have an encounter of fire.
The Lord arrested him on the road, met the Lord face to face, was put on the alter of refining through a flash fire.
I have been in the refiner's fire many times,One moment in the fire can seen as a life time.Saul's was three days but at any given time ours can be shorter or longer.
finding yourself in God's presence (Fire) does not always mean your in trouble can be His fire cleaning you and bringing importation into your walk.He will propel you into a deeper intimacy, and anointing for His call.
As in the case of Saul, not everyone around you will understand what is going on but you will. When you are in the fire it is for you.....God said to Saul (Paul) in time  of refining, (1) Know His Will  (20 See the Just One (3) Hear the voice of His mouth.
Sometimes I go kicking and screaming when put into the refines fire but ooh how I love the end result...
